The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will publish a Registry of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) operating in the Northern Province.The proposed registry, which is being compiled will be published in June.
The main objective of the Chamber’s exercise is to assist SMEs to find potential business partners to further enhance their business activities. The ’Registry’ will also be a ready reckoner for input suppliers and service providers. The Ceylon Chamber officials have already collected firsthand information of the SMEs operating in the Northern Province by visiting the region.
Once compiled, the Registry will be circulated among Banks, Lending Agencies, foreign missions based in Sri Lanka and overseas, service providers and input suppliers.
