MAS Active - Asialine obtains three certifications

MAS Active – Asialine has become the first manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka to obtain the trio of Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certifications. Certified via Control Union by the global awarding bodies Textile Exchange and GOTS, Asialine sets an example for manufacturing operations across Sri Lanka, continuing their journey in manufacturing sustainable products covering synthetics, cotton and wool material.

Chief Executive Officer of MAS Active, Chelan Goonetilleke said, “The MAS ‘Plan for Change’ is our commitment to inspire sustainable change for our people and planet. MAS Active Asialine stands testimony to this commitment, as it has been awarded the triad of sustainable product certifications, making it the first and only manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka to achieve this feat.”

Director of Innovation and Supply Chain at MAS Active, Kireety Madiraju said, “At MAS, sustainable products are our passion and one of our key drivers of growth. With this certification, we now have the capability to manufacture sustainable products using synthetics, cotton and wool, placing us another step ahead on our journey to produce 50% of sustainable products by 2025. It is a tremendous achievement for MAS Active Asialine.”
