HNB has introduced value added services for merchants accepting payments via the Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) provider, Visa CyberSource. The new value-added features will enable enterprises making the leap to e-commerce to radically optimise the payment process by further streamlining and automating transactions.
HNB Deputy General Manager, Retail and SME Banking, Sanjay Wijemanne said, “With the onset of the pandemic, we have seen many customer-facing businesses falter as they struggle to deal with the logistics of taking their businesses online, while many others have enjoyed tremendous success by taking their business online.
“Having already been the first re-seller of Visa CyberSource in Sri Lanka, we were quick to understand and expand on the potential of this partnership. This has been part of a series of initiatives from HNB that are aimed at lowering the barrier of entry for enterprises taking the leap into e-commerce. This is accomplished by providing a world-class end-user experience, while supporting enterprises to manage the administrative burden of an expanded digital presence,” he said.
The improved functionality enabled by the new value-added services also includes the ability for merchants to securely store vital data to facilitate recurring transactions with ease for the end consumer. The zero-integration IPG service streamlines access for merchants and retailers of any size, enabling them to generate secure click-and-pay links which can be sent directly to customers via email together with invoice details – an ideal feature ideally suited for medium-large enterprises.
