The main responsibility of the library and information division is to satisfy the information needs of the readers engaged in the study and research of aquatic resources through the collection, management and dissemination of new information in the field of aquatic resources.

As a special library, it is mainly focused in assisting the subject specialists to access the scientific knowledge disseminated from various information sources so that, they could be motivated in their innovative research studies.

Researchers, fisheries officials, scholars and development planners and university students can view rare documents published by NARA through a digital repository and web catalogue.
