“Sri Lanka moving towards achieving stability”

Sri Lanka is moving towards achieving rapid economic stability, said Minister of State for Finance Shehan at a discussion in Colombo with members of the Japanese Upper House led by Yusuke Nakanishi, Japanese MP Nakanishi Yusuke and Misukoshi Hideki, the Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka.

The Minister also said that Sri Lanka’s people too have endorsed the current progress on debt restructuring. People are also confident that due to meaningful steps taken by the government and the international support Sri Lanka is receiving, an economic collapse will not happen again.

The Japanese team in Sri Lanka and Ambassador Misukoshi Hideki said that Japan will always give its support towards Sri Lanka’s economic revival.

The Minister also met Chairman of the Maldives Monetary Authority, Ali Hashim at the Ministry of Finance.
