SEC and CFA Society renew MoU

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and CFA Society Sri Lanka have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster the development of the capital market in Sri Lanka.

Chairman of SEC, Faizal Saliah said, “The SEC is pleased to continue our collaboration with CFA Society Sri Lanka through the renewal of this MoU. Together, we aim to drive improvements in the capital market and enhance market integrity, and transparency, and promote the adoption of the highest standards and practices within the investment industry.”

The collaboration between the SEC and CFA Society Sri Lanka will serve as a catalyst for strengthening investor confidence, supporting sustainable economic growth, and elevating the overall financial landscape of the nation.

CFA, President of CFASL, Aruna Perera said, “The CFA Society Sri Lanka is delighted to sign this MoU with the SEC. We firmly believe in the power of collective efforts to achieve positive outcomes. By working together, we can contribute significantly to the growth and development of Sri Lanka’s capital market, fostering an environment of trust and excellence.” Both organisations are committed to implementing joint initiatives, conducting research, and organising educational programs that will further empower market participants with the knowledge and expertise needed to navigate the evolving financial landscape successfully.
