TAAI parley centres on India-Sri Lanka ties

The 67th TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India) Conference commenced at the BMICH in Colombo on Friday.

The conference centred around India and Sri Lanka, showcasing Sri Lankan culture through a mesmerising performance by the Channa-Upuli Dance Troupe.

President of SLAITO, Nishad Wijetunga extended a warm welcome to the delegation. President of TAAI, Jyoti Mayal and Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Gopal Baglay emphasised the significance of India-Sri Lanka relations in the context of tourism.

The chief guest President Ranil Wickremesinghe reiterated the bond between the two nations and highlighted the awe-inspiring sights in Sri Lanka.

The event reached great heights with Daniela Perera’s breathtaking rendition of “Jai Ho”, accompanied by an enchanting dance performance. Ricky Bahar’s rendition of “Because We Believe” added to the evening’s entertainment.
