
Uber has selected Sri Lanka as the first South Asian company to launch Uber One, a brand new membership program that brings together the best of Uber rides, delivery and groceries, to Sri Lanka.
Uber’s global membership program provides discounts and exclusive experiences across both rides and delivery and is designed to help members navigate everyday life.
“Uber is available in almost all South Asian countries. We selected Sri Lanka as we see a good upward growth pattern in the country for our services,” said General Manager, Uber Eats Sri Lanka, Varun Wijewardane.
“With Uber One, we want our customers to experience how Uber can provide them more value and make their every day more effortless. With this membership, they save more, get elevated access and much more out of all that Uber offers including rides, delivery, and groceries.”
Members will also get exclusive access to perks like special offers and promotions and wil give a saving for customers. Country Manager Uber Rides Sri Lanka,, Thanushika Sivanathan, said, “Over the years, our customers in Sri Lanka have embraced our offerings and given us tremendous love across Rides and Eats.”
It was also disclosed that Uber is now available in 7 major cities and they have done 24 million deliveries.
