
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) hosted a 16-member business delegation from India, led by Global Fortune (GF Mission India) and arranged B2B meetings for the business community in Sri Lanka at its auditorium last week.
The visit was to explore and enhance export, import, trade and investment opportunities between Sri Lanka and India and the delegation was received by Haridas Fernando, Chairman - Imports, Trading, Wholesale, Retail and Distribution Committee of National Chamber and National Chamber Secretary General/CEO Bandula Dissanayake to discuss potential opportunities between their industries.
The business delegates were from the industries of agriculture, food and beverages sector such as rice, pulses, spices, dairy products, fresh vegetables and fruits, dry fruits, cereals, tea and coffee, sugar, bakery products, processed food, ready to eat, cooking oils, soya products, sweets, flour, beverages, and other agri commodities
Sri Lankan companies who joined the b2b session presented their samples and product details and the Indian companies expressed their much enthusiasm about the quality of products presented.
