YoungShip Sri Lanka has appointed Maleena Awn as its first female Chair to lead them for the upcoming year. Awn is the Director Operations and a Board Member at Meridian Maritime Services Limited, a shipping agency and logistics company.
She was also the Vice Chairperson of YoungShip Sri Lanka last year and has served on the committee since 2019, before being elected as the Chairperson for 2023.
Founded in Norway, YoungShip International is a non-profit establishment with over 4,000 members in 30 countries, dedicated to promoting the interests and values of the next generation of maritime leaders.
