People’s Leasing and Finance PLC rewarded employee innovativeness in the development of new product concepts at the “Chairman’s Awards” at the Head Office of People’s Leasing recently.
The new product concept presented by V. Sarujan of People’s Leasing Kilinochchi branch was recognised as the “Most Innovative” new concept.
Chaminda Yapa of the Fixed Deposits and Savings Department and G. Piratheepan of the Chunnakkam branch were the joint second place winners.
Chairman of People’s Leasing, Pradeep Amirthanayagam, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of People’s Leasing, Shamindra Marcelline and the representatives of the Board of Directors and the Senior Management were also present.
All People’s Leasing employees were eligible to apply for the awards and 58 new product concepts were received from employees at the Head Office and Branch footprint of People’s Leasing.
A committee evaluated the innovativeness of the new product concepts received based on set criteria. Eight submissions were shortlisted of which the best three concepts were duly recognised and rewarded.
