Ceylinco Life has reopened its Nugegoda branch after a complete refurbishment that improves customer facilities and service while reducing the branch’s environmental footprint.

The refurbished branch features private discussion rooms to ensure customer privacy through specialised customer handling processes. It also has a parking facility with space for over 10 vehicles, which further enhances convenience for customers.

The branch was renovated according to the Reduce, Recycle, Reuse – 3R principle. Equipped with energy-efficient artificial lighting and air conditioning systems, the building is also designed to operate with a battery backup, eliminating the need for a generator. This is the first time that this system has been implemented at a Ceylinco Life branch.

Ceylinco Life also laid the foundation stone for an eco-friendly branch building in Minuwangoda recently and has bought a property in Matugama which will be converted into to branch soon. Two other ‘Green’ buildings are under construction for the Company’s branches in Ja-Ela and Matale and will be opened for operations this year.

The Company owns over 45 properties, including the buildings housing its offices in Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Kandy, Kalutara, Kurunegala, Gampaha, Galle, Matara, Tissamaharama, Negombo, Ratnapura, Kotahena, Mount Lavinia, and Wellawatte, many of which have already been converted to solar energy.

Among the new branch buildings purpose-built to the company’s sustainable energy model are those at Horana, Panadura, Wennappuwa, Bandarawela, Chilaw, Kadawatha, Jaffna, Malabe, Divulapitiya, Negombo, Nelliady and Piliyandala.
