
Ceylinco Life recently revisited a paediatric High Dependency Unit (HDU) the Company had donated to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital in 2013, to present new medical equipment needed to treat children with respiratory difficulties and those afflicted with dengue fever.
Ceylinco Life donated Optiflow Nasal Oxygen Therapy equipment and two infusion pumps costing over Rs 2.1 million to the HDU at the Paediatric Ward of the hospital, as part of the Company’s commitment to maintain the HDU.
According to hospital sources, the HDU has been operating at full occupancy in the recent past. It has treated over 5,000 patients since it was commissioned in 2013, and 551 patients were admitted in 2022.
