People’s Bank provides solar power to Ayagama school

People’s Bank’s ‘Mahajana Mehewara’ CSR drive and Manusath Derana completed another project to provide electricity and water facilities to under-resourced schools recently.

Under this novel concept which combines sustainability with education, solar panels along with an inverter system and a water tank were provided to Ratnapura, Ayagama, Dumbara Ellagawa, Dumbara No. 2 Tami Vidyalaya.

Principal Krishnan Ashokan along with the staff of the school, and representatives of People’s Bank including Ratnapura Assistant Regional Manger G.P Chathurika, Kiriella Branch Manager Charith Malalasekara and bank staff along with students were present.
