Nestlé Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka recently, to offer assistance to five SOS Children’s Villages across the island.

Touching the lives of over 600 children in Anuradhapura, Galle, Jaffna, Moneragala and Nuwara Eliya, the ‘Good food, Good life’ company’s contribution would be channelled to meet their food and nutrition needs for six months, helping nourish them during this difficult time.

Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka, Jason Avanceña said, “At Nestlé, we are committed to doing our part to support communities through trying times, not only by continuing to deliver nutritious food and beverages but also by increasing our support towards those in most need.

“Although the impact of today’s challenges is felt by everyone from all walks of life, there are some more vulnerable than others, such as children. “This is why we are proud to extend our assistance to SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka – an institution working tirelessly to care for our country’s future generation. We are glad to partner this esteemed organisation in their efforts of raising healthier children, in our journey of giving back to Sri Lanka,” he said. National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, Divakar Ratnadurai said, “I look forward to working with Nestlé Lanka for a long-lasting partnership, to contribute positively to society by providing a happy and healthy childhood for children of today, who are the generation of tomorrow.”
