The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 has appointed Sri Lanka legend Sanath Jayasuriya and Pakistan legend Wasim Akram as the “Brand Ambassadors” of the Lanka Premier League 2022.
“This tournament is a great addition to the domestic cricket calendar, as it gives us an ideal platform to find and nurture the best cricketing talent that is needed to build our T20I arsenal,’’ said Sanath Jayasurya.
Wasim Akram said, “During the past few international assignments, Sri Lanka’s national T20I team has performed extremely well. I am sure the LPL has played an important role in this resurgence.”
The two ‘Brand Ambassadors’ will play a major part in promoting the Lanka Premier League among fans.
“We are pleased to announce both Sanath Jayasuriya and Wasim Akram as Brand Ambassadors for the 2022 LPL. Having these two legends will boost the league and attract more followers from the whole world, and help in our quest to make this tournament a global cricketing attraction,” said Anil Mohan, the CEO and Founder of the IPG Group, which is the rights holder of the LPL.
The two legends, along with current international cricket stars, will garner a lot of international media attention for the Lanka Premier League 2022.
