Innovate OVA (Pvt) Ltd., a global staffing solutions provider, servicing clients based in the United States aims at moving to the Australian and British markets by the end of this year, said Innovate OVA Founding Director and CEO Yeshan Weerasinghe.
As a BPO entity the company specialises in front office operations focusing on six key areas of sales enablement, customer relationship management, data entry, social media strategising, graphic and content creation and virtual assistance.
Despite being a new entrant into the shared services industry, founding directors Yeshan Weerasinghe CEO and Kavinda Fonseka COO see their entry into the market last year as most opportune.
In the wake of the ongoing pandemic with more locals insisting on working from home and global entities seeking opportunities for potential brand growth, Innovate steps in at the perfect time to capitalise on the new ways of working to redefine the traditional outsourcing culture.
Through the implementation of supplemental labour solutions (SLS) the company aims at providing an array of highly customisable staffing solutions to their clientele in an effort to transform the global outlook on Sri Lankan outsourcing, taking it from mere cost cutting tool to a market of exceptional offshoring capabilities.
Having launched their operations in August last year Innovate primarily focuses on recruiting local undergraduates and fresh graduates, where up to date they have employed 12 people from business and IT disciplines. These benefits attributed with this strategy of recruitment come three fold.
Youth joining the company will gain an international exposure from an early age and thus engage in cross country learning while on the job. The opportunity to work with multiple clients across the world will aid in the honing of skills and knowledge competencies to meet international benchmarks and thus contribute towards the establishment of a global ready workforce in Sri Lanka.
With the ability to work for globally established brands from the comfort of their home this strategy will also ensure a reduction in the number of young talent leaving Sri Lanka seeking better prospects.
With the prevailing economic crisis Innovate’s entry into the market also serves as a new medium in acquiring more Foreign Direct Investments and enabling a higher inflow of dollars into the country. Innovate serves as a proof of concept that now more than ever both talent and global clients are seeking new means of growth through means of remote opportunities. The company, while disrupting the shared services industry, is also paving the way for more BPOs to become established in Sri Lanka in a collective effort to boost local human capital, give rise to new global technologies and drive local economic growth.
