SLT-Mobitel celebrated Valentine’s Day with diverse communities under the theme ‘Sambendiyawe Adaraya’ by organising a range of activities spreading love with acts of kindness for all. Going beyond the traditional celebrations of Valentine’s Day, SLT-Mobitel’s initiatives were aimed at celebrating the day with positivity, joy and compassion for both old and young.
SLT-Mobitel engaged in a host of activities sharing the special day with elders, children at orphanages and municipal staff who work tirelessly to keep the city clean.
Creating a special Valentine’s Day for communities, SLT-Mobitel organised a musical show at the Independence Arcade, providing visitors an opportunity to celebrate the special day. Twenty-four winners were given a seaplane tour around the heart of Colombo. SLT-Mobitel staff visited elders’ homes and organised live musical shows and presented gifts. Helping young children feel loved and treasured, SLT-Mobitel also organised Children’s Day programs with musical shows, magic shows and exciting games in addition to receiving gifts from SLT-Mobitel.
Demonstrating appreciation and concern to workers who are seldom recognised, SLT-Mobitel celebrated Valentine’s Day with Municipal staff by donating dry rations and other items.
In organising activities to celebrate this memorable day, SLT-MBOITEL recognises the true spirit of Valentine’s Day by bringing families and friends together, sharing and connecting with the elderly and children; spreading love, joy and kindness among all.
