Interpharm (Pvt) Ltd and Gamma Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd presented a neonatal/pediatric ventilator to Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Duminda Samarasinghe at Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH), in response to his request last week.
This high-end ventilator was imported from Switzerland, at a cost of Rs 6.3 million as there was a lack of neonatal ventilators at the Pediatric Cardiology unit at LRH.
The two companies have also been contributing to the Little Hearts fundraising project since 2017 by donating a percentage from the sale of every pediatric product of the company.
Deputy Director, Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Dr. Santhusitha Senadhipathy, Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr. Duminda Samarasinghe, Consultant Pediatric Intensivist Dr. Manjula Hewageeganage and the medical staff of Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Colombo, Chairman, Interpharm and Gamma Pharmaceuticals, Kalana Hewamallika, Marketing and International Business Manager, Vidhira Gunasekara, Corporate, Communications and Events Manager, Sudheera Thittawella and Field Manager Thilan Vithanage were present.
