Prashanth Fertility Research Centre (PFRC) opened its doors in 2001. Since its inception, PFRC has become a leader in Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Reproductive Technologies in India, a spokesman for the Centre said.
Patients come from all over the world - especially from Sri Lanka - to PFRC and undergo IVF treatment under the guidance of Dr. Geetha Haripriya.
Dr. Haripriya is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a specialist in reproductive medicine and laparoscopic surgery. She is Chairperson, Prashanth Multispeciality Hospital, and Medical Director, Prashanth Fertility Research Centre.
She has vast experience as an Infertility Specialist and has delivered more than 40,000 babies from assisted reproductive techniques.
She has performed more than 55,000 laparoscopic and hysteroscopy procedures.
She delivered the world’s second ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) quadruplets in 2003.
‘’When nature fails, we undertake. I hope every woman should feel the hapiness of motherhood,” she said.
Dr. Haripriya is taking part in the free infertility consultation camps organised by Royal Hospital, Wellawatte. She is due to visit Batticaloa on February 22 and Colombo on February 23.
