Richard Pieris & Company’s ‘Shilpa Labannata Lowak Dinannata’ CSR project initiated by Group Chairman Dr. Sena Yaddehige, is a testament of the Group’s commitment to instill education among children.

The inaugural ceremony was held at the Nawinna Arpico Head Office auditorium recently.

Dr. Sena Yaddehige the guest of honour at the event and other management officials distributed school books inclusive of a school bag and water bottle to over 2,300 children of employees of the Group.

Dr. Yaddehige said, “Our objective with this project was to inculcate the value of education among schoolchildren of all ages. Thus, providing an entire book list including a school bag and water bottle to the children of our group company employees was a project we took great pride in.”“Knowledge is the most valuable asset someone could possess, it is the only attribute that lives with you that nobody can take. As a company, we will make every stride to develop a nation with a hunger for education and therefore, we have introduced a special project to grant every school-going child belonging to our employees with English books that will enhance their knowledge in the English language,” he said.
