
Softwave Printing and Packaging (Pvt) Ltd., won four Gold medals, four Silver medals and three bronze medals at the ‘Sri Lanka Print 2018 – Going Global’ awards night organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Printers.The four gold medals were awarded for: Brides of Sri Lanka Magazine - periodicals and magazines; Emagewise 2018 desk calendar - office calendars; Chandrasena Perera photography book - Diaries and single colour books; Shifani Jewellers poster - marketing materials digital.The awards night at the Shangri-La Hotel Colombo, under the patronage of chief guest Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The guest of honour was Chairman, Cyber Group of Companies, Singapore, Herbert Cheong.
The company is expanding its infrastructure by introducing an eco-friendly printing hub based on today’s cutting edge technology.Chairman D.D. Kariyawasam and Managing Director Chaminda Kariyawasam are the personalities behind the success story of the organisation, which has been in operation for three decades. The company plans to move to a new location with a modern infrastructure including state-of-the-art technology in printing and packaging industry.
Softwave and its group of companies comprise Softwave Printing & Packaging (Pvt) Ltd, Softwave Reprographers (Pvt) Ltd and Softwave Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. They print magazines, annual reports, coffee table books, textbooks, and tabloids.
The company plans to launch an e-marketing division, ‘PrintRoom’, which will offer services online.
“We thank our clients for helping us to reach the zenith in the print industry. Had it not been for the encouragement and unstinted support given to us by our loyal customers, this achievement would not have been a reality,” Managing Director Chaminda Kariyawasam said.
