Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University specialising in aviation and aerospace launched the dual enrollment program in Colombo at the Kingsbury Hotel last week.
The program was launched in partnership with Gateway Graduate School, the higher education and professional development arm of the Gateway Group.
The Dual Enrollment Program enables Sri Lankan students pursuing UK or local Advanced Level or those who have already finished their A/Ls to complete the first year of the undergraduate degree at the Embry-Riddle University.
The program is delivered online with workshops conducted in Sri Lanka by the Embry-Riddle staff. The Gateway Graduate School will provide additional tutorial support. Upon completion of the program participants will be able to transfer themselves to degree pathways in aeronautics and unmanned systems, aeronautical science and piloting, aviation management an engineering.
Embry-Riddle has been in the forefront of ground-breaking aeronautical milestones since the early days of flight.
The university’s collaborators in training and research includes NASA and the US military. Currently over 30,000 students pursue degree programs at associate, bachelors, masters and doctoral levels, a spokesman for the University said.
