AIA Vitality members can now give their weekly reward to the Little Hearts Foundation, for children with heart disease and critical illness.
All you have to do is stay active to achieve your weekly targets on AIA Vitality and select the ‘Donation’ option when claiming rewards.
Each time you do so, AIA will donate Rs.500 towards the construction of the Critical Care Unit at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, facilitated by the Little Hearts Foundation.
Chairman, Little Hearts Foundation, Dr. Duminda Samarasinghe said, “Our foundation is dedicated to safeguarding the health and well-being of the country’s children who are suffering from critical illnesses including heart diseases.”
“Due to the magnitude of the task at hand, we need all the support we can get. Initiatives such as this one can go a long way in helping us collect the funds we require to build a proper facility to treat children with critical illnesses,” he said.
AIA CMO Nikhil Advani said, “NCDs, and especially heart diseases are a serious problem in Sri Lanka. According to the World Health Organization, NCDs account for approximately 75% of the total deaths in the country.”
“As a company, AIA is committed to helping people live longer, healthier, better lives and in doing so, are keen to help in any way we can to create awareness on, reduce incidence
of and assist treatment of NCDs,” he said.
“This is an opportunity for
AIA Vitality users to not only get healthy and stay fit but also to share their rewards and help make a positive change to the less fortunate.
This new Critical Care Unit will definitely make a big difference and lead to many young lives being saved,” Advani said.
AIA Vitality has also tied up with another new rewards partner, Laugfs Car Care, an auto maintenance service provider with a network of service centres across the island.
You can opt to have Rs. 550 contributed towards your next car wash, full service or interior/exterior cleaning from Laugfs Car Care at any of the Laugfs Car Care stations.
By choosing to donate your rewards to this worthy cause you not only give back to the community and support children in need but also help those children with early heart problems in Sri Lanka.
The new rewards options join an existing list of exciting weekly reward options including mobile top-ups from any telecom provider, movie tickets from EAP films and online shopping vouchers from Takas.lk.
AIA Vitality is a science-backed wellness program that offers its users an opportunity to get fit and healthy while earning rewards along the way. Over 17,000 Sri Lankans take part in the weekly challenge and enjoy weekly rewards.
