Caryll Van Dort among Top 50

Group Director of MSL Group Sri Lanka, Caryll Van Dort, was recently recognized for her contribution to the advertising industry at the Professional Career Women Awards organized by Women in Management. Caryll received the Silver award in the Advertising category as an acknowledgement for her leadership in this field.

The Professional and Career Women Awards, launched in 2011, seeks to recognize and honour women who have contributed to economic growth in Sri Lanka and globally, by seizing opportunities and overcoming challenges.

Managing Director, Leo Burnett Sri Lanka, Ranil de Silva said, “I am immensely proud of Caryll and her success. This award recognizes the leadership she has demonstrated and the results she has achieved in leading MSL Group Sri Lanka to succeed in Sri Lanka within a brief period. It is hard earned and very well deserved.”

“In a career spanning almost two decades, Caryll has demonstrated her competency as a pioneering leader in the Public relations industry. The business result she has achieved, the work she has fulfilled and the accomplishments she has secured for her clients is what has brought her this success,” he said.

“Her dynamic leadership has made the MSL Group Sri Lanka, a very successful PR company within a short span of time. She has achieved growth for the company and inspired her team to be trail blazers in very demanding industry,” de Silva said.

Caryll Van Dort said, “I am happy to receive this award, but am also humbled by this recognition, I would thank the many people – both men and women – who have invested in me, helped me to grow and challenged me every step of the way.”

Catriona Jayasundera wins award for ‘Leadership Excellence in Logistics’

Head of Marketing and Commercial at Colombo International Container Terminals Ltd. (CICT), Catriona Jayasundera has been recognised for her achievements in the field of logistics.

Ms Jayasundera won the Silver Award for ‘Leadership Excellence in Logistics’.

Congratulating Ms Jayasundera on her award, CICT CEO, Ray Ren said, “Catriona had the courage and determination to enter a male dominated industry more than 15 years ago and has devoted much of her career to this industry and been a mentor for many people in the field.”

Catriona Jayasundera’s professional career spans 15 years in the Ports and Terminals industry. She was the first female in her capacity in the Port of Colombo and is now the first female in the Port to reach senior management level.
