The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will hold its customary post budget seminar on Tuesday, November 15 at 4 p.m. Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and senior Treasury officials will also be present.
Independent tax specialists will take part in a panel discussion and open forum.
The seminar will kick start with Minister Karunanayake addressing the gathering under the title ‘Salient Points of Budget 2017,’ while Director of Pricewaterhousecoopers, Mrs. Charmaine Tillekeratne will speak on the ‘Taxation Proposals of Budget 2017’.
The panel will comprise Minister Karunanayake, Chairman Tax Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Head of Tax Services and Partner of Ernst & Young Sri Lanka, Duminda Hulangamuwa, Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, Ministry of Finance and Planning, S. R. Attygalle, Commissioner General, Inland Revenue Department, Kalyani Dahanayake and Director of PWC Charmaine Tillekeratne.
They will also answer questions from the audience. Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Samantha Ranatunga, will deliver the welcome address.
