Janashakthi Insurance PLC was recognised again for its excellence in salesmanship at the recently concluded Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) National Sales Congress (NASCO) Awards 2016. Taking home two Golds, three Silvers and three Bronze awards with a total of eight awards, the Janashakthi sales team walked away with the highest number of awards to be won in the Insurance industry for the second year in a row.
The Insurer achieved this feat in a year when SLIM NASCO received a record 500 entries, the highest ever in the event’s 16-year history, a company press release said. Jude Fernando, Chief Executive Officer of Janashakthi Insurance PLC said, “We are delighted to see eight members of our sales team being recognised at this prestigious forum.
They have done us proud by bagging the highest number of awards in the Insurance category for the second year in a row, especially in a year when the event has received the highest number of entries to date.”

Janashakthi clinched all three awards in the General Insurance Front-Liner category with Saman Indrasiri, K.D.S. Udesh and B. G. Dasanga Dayananda clinching the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards respectively.
M.C.M. Noushad was awarded the Bronze in the Territory Manager category for General Insurance, whilst Susantha Dissanayake and S. Sivanarenthiran were awarded the Silver and Bronze respectively in the Sales Supervisor/ Executive category for General Insurance. The Territory Manager category Gold award for Life Insurance was presented to Sakuna Jayasuriya, whilst Mahinda Kariyawasam was presented the Silver award in the Executive/Supervisor category for Life Insurance.
