Browns Agriculture introduced its newest innovation, Massey Ferguson MF-1540, to the farmers in the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts amidst a large gathering that comprised distributor agents, existing and potential customers. This new tractor distribution has been more focused on the farming community in the wet zone area and those farming on muddy terrain.
Deputy General Manager, Browns Agriculture, Sanjaya Nissanka said, “Massey-Ferguson is a well-known and trusted brand among Sri Lankan farmers and the agricultural sector, and is top-of-mind as the best-in-class tractor available in the market today.”
“One of the main reasons is due to the fact that we at Browns Agri, constantly strive to adapt to the changing needs of our clients. “Introducing the new MF-1540 is one such example. This has contributed vastly to our success in the industry,” he said.“Unlike in the early years, farmers do not own large acres of farming land. Due to the rapid increase in population and development, farmers nowadays own and manage much smaller fields. Therefore, a standard tractor would be too large or too heavy to maneuver; especially on wet and muddy terrain.
Browns’ Massey Ferguson MF-1540, is the ideal solutions provider,” said Nissanka. “Browns is the pioneer in introducing agro mechanisation to the Sri Lankan farming industry with the MF brand and we are the oldest Massey Ferguson dealers in South East Asia. almost 60% market share in the agricultural sector,” he said.
