It was good to go on a trip. My father, mother, sister and I went on a tour in the morning. We went to our aunt’s house first to pick up my cousins and then we started our journey. We went to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. It was a good place to walk on such a lovely day.
We went to lovely places at the Botanical Gardens. We visited the rose garden and took a beautiful photograph there.
We saw different orchids inside the Orchid House and we were amazed. My cousins found a tank full of colourful fish. When we came out of the Orchid House, I saw a map of the garden and we went in an opposite direction. Then we found an open area with a few trees. In the centre there was an enormous fig tree. We ran through the grass to see that big tree.
Then we all sat on the grass under a small tree and had our picnic.
But suddenly my leg started to hurt and when we looked there was a shoe cut and my sister very kindly offered her shoe to me. When I returned to the car, I changed my shoe and wore my sandals.
Our next stop was the KCC (Kandy City Centre). We parked our car at the Kandy Municipal Council Public Car Park. We went to the fourth floor of the Centre. We first, went to the World Play. We started with the bumper car and I was sad that I didn’t get a chance to drive it. After that I went to the storm racer which I enjoyed very much. And then there were three tickets left. I was happy because I could drive a bumper car on my own.
We came out of the World Play and entered World Spice. We ordered two pizzas and two rice dishes, we ate them and went to the Galataria where we ate many ice creams. That was a great tour after months of lockdown.
Finally, we left the Centre and went to our aunt’s house to drop our cousins. We said goodbye to them. And then we continued our journey back home.
