The school is the first gate of life because if the mother gives birth the teacher gives the world. My school is
K/Panadura Mahanama Vidyalaya, (National School) and it is in Panadura, Kalutara district.
It has many big buildings, two big gates, a security room, a playground and a canteen, a main hall, staff rooms and an office. There is a big library and all kinds of books are available there including biographies. All students read the books in the library and borrow library books for the vacation.
There are over 2,000 students and 75 teachers in my school.
There are classes from Grade 6 to the Advanced Level classes. The primary classes are at Mahanama Primary.
The motto of my school is ‘ To produce a group of children full of value’ .
Our Principal is P. B. Upul Saamarasinghe. He addresses the children often. I like my school very much and I am proud of my school.
