Back to school after the Covid -19 holidays

27 February, 2022

The Covid–19 holidays were very long. But teachers continued teaching online through ‘zoom’. The first day I went to school was on December 14,2021. Our whole class was divided into two groups. I was in the second group so I had to go one week after school started. The classroom looked different than earlier. Every class had a hand sanitiser.

It was so good to see at least half of my friends at school.

There was non-stop chatting among friends about how they spent their vacation. Sometimes, the teachers had to shout to lessen the noise as

it disturbed the other classes. But after sometime, everyone started chatting again.

We had to wear masks at school the whole time. We also had to maintain the one metre distance at all times.

Although there were no PT periods, we played cricket during the interval. Many of us played hand cricket and had pen fights during free periods.

There were even posters on how to stay hygienically.

The children who had mild headaches were sent home because everyone was scared. Even with all the new rules it was fun to go to school.
