The butterfly is an insect. It drinks nectar. There are many different species. They come in different colours and patterns such as monarch and white monarch. Some butterfly species also migrate over large distances.
The life-cycle of a butterfly is egg, caterpillar, cocoon, pupa and finally a butterfly. They also vary in size. Butterflies are one of the main sources of food for birds and spiders. My favourite insects are butterflies.
