There was once a little blue fly. He was very dumb. He was also very curious about who he was. So he asked his mother, “What are we?”
“We are American bluebottle flies, darling,” she explained.
Now little Blue was very puzzled. He pondered about it. How could he own a bluebottle?
He couldn't even carry his breakfast breadcrumb! His mother saw that he was confused. “Oh, darling, it's just a name. It has no meaning!,” she told him.
Now tiny Blue was more than puzzled! He didn't know what to think! His mother said that there is no meaning! But in about a thousand books it said that all names have a meaning!
Who should he believe? “Oh dear,” Mother sighed. “You still don't get it, do you?”
Blue shook his head. “Let your father explain,” she said as Blue's father entered the room.
"What do I explain?” he asked.
“Why we are called American bluebottle flies!”, she shouted, getting very frustrated.
“Oh, okay,” he said.
“We are called American bluebottle flies because we are American and we look like blue bottles!”
“Ohhhhhhh! Now I get it!” Blue shouted.
“Are you serious!? That's not even the right answer!” Mother yelled.
"I guess you ask a silly question, you get a silly answer!” Father told her. SLAM! The door slammed shut as the frustrated mother went out of the room.
