Our planet Earth has been around for 4.543 billion years. If we don’t take care of it, like it does for us, I am sorry to say it may give up.
Global warming is most probably on everyone’s mind. Global warming is the gradual increase in the average temperature of Earth, due to an increased amount of energy (heat) striking it from the Sun that is being trapped in the atmosphere and not radiated back out into space. Now that we know what global warming is, let’s talk about its driving factors.
As you may know the Earth has an ozone layer, which acts as security. Heat, is the source of energy we get from the sun. The sun’s rays enter through the security gate and reaches our planet's surface. Then the heat from these rays rise to escape from the ozone layer. Wow a heat cycle complete without obstructions. But now in our situation, within that ozone layer there are these gases that are obstructing the cycle. Many of these gases are created by us humans. Some of those trapped gases are water vapor, methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and chlorofluorocarbons. 
Ever since the industrial revolution the increase in these gases were exponential, due to the burning of fossil fuels and car emissions and through the many ways of harnessing nonrenewable power.
So, when these gases are not allowed to escape there are so many effects to Earth. The main effect would be in the rise of the Earth’s temperature. When the temperature rises, ice caps start melting, then the oceans start rising along with the rivers and cities and countries flood. We feel much hotter as humidity increases. So, the increase in global temperatures start a catastrophic chain reaction.
If Earth's temperature rises above two degrees Celsius, food sources start to dissipate, animals start to perish, the human population famishing, ice land will be come land the north pole and south pole will be gone. Habitant land will be scarce, the remaining population fighting for the last remaining land. Adverse weather will be experienced.
The solution: We are the solution; we must start using renewable energy (wind and solar) and a big must is to eliminate our carbon footprint. In 2015 the Paris accords were singed to prevent the Earth's temperature rising above 2OC (0.88°C is our current temperature). If we don’t act now it will be too late.
