Deadly cyclone Freddy wreaks havoc in Malawi

At least 99 people have died in Malawi yesterday (13 march) due to Cyclone "Freddy" according to Country’s Commissioner for Disaster Management Affairs of the country. Most damages was suffered Blantyre, the  commercial hub of Malawi.

It is reported that another 134 people have been injured due to this cyclone. The total number casualties by the cyclone Freddy in Mozambique, Malawi and Madagascar since it first appeared last month about 136 up until now.

Guardian has reported that, Freddy is one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the southern hemisphere and could be the longest-lasting tropical cyclone, according to the World Meteorological Organization.
