
Several programs were implemented at Muslim Ladies’ College, Colombo to mark International Children’s Day on October 1. The celebrations focused on the happiness and well-being of the students who had been denied the opportunity of celebrating the Children’s Day at school for the past two years due to the global pandemic.
Singing, dancing, drama, painting and games were conducted at the school premises showering the children with much love and experience that have had a remarkable impacts on their academic, social and emotional development.
In line with the theme of the Children’s Day, 'A better future for every child', an exhibition was also held with the participation of Grades 3 and 4 students to enhance their creative, imaginative and innovative skills.
The Principal, Nasriya Munas, Deputy Principals, Rasmiya Aboobucker and Akeeda Nauman, the Assistant Principal and the Head of the Primary Section, W.C.K. Botheju, President of the Past Pupils’ Association, Feroza Muzammil, the School Development Committee, J.A. Nazeer Mohamed, Directress of the Primary Education, Zonal Education Office, Colombo, Shama Perera and Mumthaz Begum were present.
