'Kantha Saviya', a Women’s Organsation distributed school books, bags, stationery, baby cots, blankets, pillows, milk powder, children's clothes and biscuits to mark the International Children’s Day program in the Badulla District, Uva Province on Wednesday, September 28.
The students of Tamil Vidyalaya and Shree Ganesha Vidyalaya and the Badulla Vidyadeepa Primary School were given uniforms, bags and books on the occasion.
President of the 'Kantha Saviya' Women's Organisation Feroza Muzammil, Mayor of Bandarawela, Janaka Nishantha Ratnayake, Secretary of the Uva Provincial Education Ministry, Sandhya Apanvela and Directors of Education, parents, well-wishers and teachers participated.
