We inherit traditions from the past. Traditions are the foundation of our present. We cannot separate traditions from the modern world. We can compare the traditional and modern practices related to our day today life, lifestyle, transport, and everything around us.
Recalling our traditional kitchens, my grandmother had winnowing fans, a mortar and pestle and a firewood stove. She had a large kitchen in a large house. Many helpers were there in the house.
But we have a modern house in a small land in an urban city. My mother works in the kitchen with a little help from us. She has the gas stove, oven, blender, and a grinder to make her work in the kitchen easy.
The present lifestyle is not healthy as the past one. It is because we have much equipment and machines but very little of exercises at home. This transition happened because of the new technology. We do not have good habits about using technology in our day- to -day life. We automatically become lazy. So we easily fall sick.
The traditional life is a peaceful and not a busy lifestyle. With traditional machines at home, they had leisure and family time every day. They went on pilgrimages and relaxed with nature.
The modern lifestyle is good as long as we have a balanced lifestyle with healthy food, exercise and proper medication and mindfulness.
