My favourite author

3 April, 2022

Reading makes people perfect. Authors all around the world write books. Among thousands of fantastic authors, my favourite author is Joanne Rowling.

The world knows her as J.K. Rowling. Rowling was born on July 31, 1965 at the Cottage Hospital in Yate, UK. Her father, Peter Rowling, was an aircraft engineer at the Rolls Royce company. Her mother Anne Volant Rowling, was a science technician at the Department of Chemistry in Wyedean.

J.K. Rowling is a British author, philanthropist, film producer and screenwriter.

She wrote her first book named Rabbit at the age of six. On December 4, 2008 she published her first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone which is the first book of the Harry Potter series. The series which is now known globally consists of seven books. The seven books, sold more than 450 million copies in 67 languages, making it one of the world’s best selling series of books.

The Philosopher’s stone manuscript was rejected 12 times. Joanne Rowling is a person who has suffered much. Sometimes, she had no food to and had to suffer from hunger. Despite these obstacles she has now won the competition of life and lives a healthy and happy life.

I wish her a long and happy life.
