There are over 3,000 different kinds of snakes. They smell with their tongue. Some snakes are venomous. 
Pit vipers, boa constrictors and pythons can sense heat.
Snakes have hundreds of ribs!
They shed their skins over a period of time whenever the skins wear out and a new skin grows.
