My favourite TV program is Maha Viru Pandu, a teledrama. It is about ancient king, Pandukabaya. I like it very much because it is very interesting. This teledrama is about King Pandukabaya’s childhood and his kingship. I can learn many things about our ancient kings and kingdoms.
There are more than 20 characters in this teledrama. The principal characters are King Abhaya, Prince Pandukhabaya, Prince Deegagamani, and Princess Chithra and Bhumi.
Prince Deegagamani and Princess Chithra are Prince Pandukhabaya’s parents. King Pandukhabaya had to hide in a village as a boy looking after cattle due to the threats from his uncles.
I prefer that scene and I also like King Pandukhabaya’s will power and kindness.
He was a very kind king who did not allow the cutting of trees or hurting animals. He had many good habits and was a very polite king.
This is why I like this TV program very much. And it is the best TV program I have ever seen.
