Butterflies are beautiful insects.
They are easy to identify by their bright colours. Butterflies visit flowers during the day to gather their nectar.
Butterflies make gardens look beautiful.
There are four stages in the life cycle of a butterfly.
They are the egg, the caterpillar, the cocoon and the adult butterfly. This is called metamorphosis. There is a song which describes the different stages of the butterfly.
From egg to caterpillar,
Then inside a silk cocoon
That’s how you came to be.
