My family has five members. They are my father, mother, brother, sister and I.
We live in Kudamaduwa. My father’s name is Pradeep Dassanayake and he is 46 years old. He works in the construction industry. My mother’s name is Saluja Nishara and she is a housewife. She is 36 years old.
My brother’s name is Sahan Malshan and he is 17 years old. My sister’s name is Chenudi Rusanya and she is only two years old. She is very cute and speaks a few words now.
My name is Minudi Newanya. I am 11 years old. I am in Grade 6. My brother and I study at Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Kottawa I play with my brother and sister. We help each other. My mother does all our work. We planted some flowering plants during the holidays. My father works hard to provide for us. My mother cooks delicious food.
My grandmother and grandfather always visit us. My father’s village is Ganepola and his relatives live there. My mother’s village is Piliyandala.
On some weekends we go out. We have a beautiful house and garden. We have good neighbours.
My father always advises us to be good citizens.
