The Earth

The Earth has more than 93 countries and four oceans, the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Arctic oceans. However, many countries now recognize the Antarctic (Southern Ocean) as the fifth ocean in the world.

Our Earth is made up of land, water, air and life. It has more than 8.7 million animal species. The Earth has one moon.

Seventy-one percent of the Earth is water and the rest is land.

The biggest tsunami which happened on Earth went as high as 1,720 feet and happened in Alaska on July 9, 1958.

The Earth is the fifth largest planet in the Solar System.

The hottest desert on Earth is the Sahara. The highest temperature there is 58 Celsius. The tallest mountain on Earth is Mount Everest.

The Earth’s biggest country is Russia and it has a land extent of 17. 13 million km in extent. It will take 1.3 million earths to fill up the whole moon. The first mant to land on the moon was astronaut Neil Armstrong.

Some scientists think that the moon is an asteroid. One day on the moon is 27 Earth days.

Some places on Earth do not have much gravity.

The Earth is 4.543 million years old. It’s land area is 148.9 million kms. In the future the Earth’s ozone layer will be completely healed.

The Earth is our home planet and so we need to protect the Environment and recycle the garbage we throw away.

Maybe, in the near future we will be able to go to Mars. There is a robot on Mars already. Its name is Rover 230.
