
The Yala National Park is a large national park in our country. The Park consists of five blocks. Two of them are now open to the public. They are the Ruhuna National Park and the Kumana National Park. The Yala National Park belongs to the Southern and Uva Provinces.
There are many animals and birds in the Yala National Park. Among them are the Sri Lankan elephant, the Sri Lankan leopard, spotted deer, the Sri Lankan sloth bear and different species of monkeys, peacocks and aquatic birds.
There are many flora species too. The Yala National Park is a beautiful national heritage in Sri Lanka. Visitors get attracted to the beauty of the Yala National Park. We must protect the Yala National Park for our future generations.
