Kusal Mendis - The Winner of 2013

A wicket keeper and free-flowing right-hand batsman with an attacking approach, Kusal Mendis won the Observer Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year award in 2013, for his performances in the Prince of Wales College team. He was Sri Lanka’s under-19 captain in the Youth World Cup the following year.

He made his Test debut in second Test of the West Indies tour of Sri Lanka 2015, scoring 13 runs in the first innings and 39 runs in second innings.

He does not keep wickets and only plays as a specialist batsman.
