Forest fire in Ravana Ella

Around 7.00 pm on March 5 (Friday), a fire broke out at Demodara mountain in the Ravana Ella forest reserve in Bandarawela. By the morning of Saturday, March 6, an area close almost 200 acres were destroyed as a result of the fire. Wildlife Officials, the Sri Lanka Police, the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Air Force doused the fire.
