Water

14 March, 2021

Water is one of the most important needs of all living beings for their existence. Hence, it is equally important to the existence of mankind, animals and plants. Seventy three percent of the earth is water.

There are many resources of water such as springs, waterfalls, rain, rivers, lakes, streams and ponds. Among them, rain is the main source of water. Water is very helpful in our day to day life. We need water to drink, wash, cook and for agricultural purposes. Animals also need water to drink and wash themselves. Plants need water to grow.

At present, people pollute water. Dumping garbage into water, adding chemical fertiliser and other harmful waste to water ways cause water pollution. It makes water impure. If the water pollution continues like this, we will not have pure water to drink and in the future, it will cost an arm and a leg to buy water to use. As our ancestors saved water by loving water as their blood, we must do the same to gift it to the future generation. Let’s save water!
