My country

31 January, 2021

My country is Sri Lanka and it is in the Indian Ocean. Many nationalities such as, Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burghers live in our country in harmony. There are attractive flowers and trees in our country. You can see paddy fields everywhere glowing in blue colour.

There are so many sacred, ancient and historical places in the country. You can see beautiful birds and butterflies on the Island. The rivers and streams flow with fresh water.

The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte. There are many rare plants and gems in my country. My beautiful country has many forests, waterfalls and mountains. The island’s beaches attract many foreigners. I love my country and I protect my country like I protect my eyes.
