Stepping towards the 18th year

25 October, 2020

It has been 17 years of a fulfilling journey for OKI International School, Kiribathgoda which produced so many blooming buds to the world to be 'world-class Citizens'. The aim of any school is to provide a strong foundation comprising of knowledge and life skills which are the primary tools for success in life. This is not an easy task but OKI International, Kiribathgoda rose to the challenge 17 years ago.

This feat was celebrated by organising an array of religious activities, such as a Holy mass conducted by Rev. Fr. George Perera (OMI), followed by a Dhammadesana for Buddhists which was conducted by Ven. Pinkade Damithasara Thera and an alms-giving for 17 bhikkhus, followed by a sermon conducted for Islamic community by Maulavi A.H.M. Faizal from Zahira College.

The main purpose was to bless the school and bestow merit on the late Founder Nimal Saparamadu; the Chairperson, the Directress of OKI Network, the Management, the branch Principal, the staff, the students and parents. We are fortunate that this concept was bought fourth by the Principal Mrs. Kumari Ranasinghe and supported by the staff, students along with the parents.

It was a memorable day because our Chairperson Nirmalee Saparamadu, the Directress of HR and the Coordinating Principal of OKI School Network Denum Abeysekera with branch Directress Mrs. Dulari Perera opened the primary play area.

Adding glamour to the event, all the network heads joined hands together to cut the 17th anniversary cake. The school steps confidently towards our 18th year and reach its goal which is to cater to the society with world class Citizens.
